Star Suites Kuala Lumpur: Apartment Living with the City's Most Iconic Views

Some trips call for luxury hotels. Others call for somewhere that simply makes travelling easier.

After experiencing one side of Kuala Lumpur during our first stay, we wanted somewhere that offered a little more space, somewhere we could truly settle into for a few days while still being right in the heart of the city.

That is exactly what we found at Star Suites Kuala Lumpur.

For three nights, this modern apartment-style stay became our home away from home. With breathtaking skyline views, generous living space and one of the city's best rooftop pools, it was the perfect base for balancing family adventures with work and relaxation.

A Room With a View

From the moment we walked in, we knew we'd made the right choice.

Our two-bedroom apartment overlooked three of Kuala Lumpur's most recognisable landmarks, including the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers. As daylight faded and the city illuminated the skyline, the view transformed into something truly special.

Each evening became our chance to slow down, watching the lights sparkle across the city from the comfort of our own living room.

It was one of those views that never got old.

Space That Makes Family Travel Easier

Travelling as a family often means appreciating the little things.

Instead of fitting into a standard hotel room, we had a spacious apartment with high ceilings, separate bedrooms and plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably.

Everything had been thoughtfully prepared, from fresh towels and comfortable bedding to a fully equipped kitchen complete with plates, cutlery and everything needed for longer stays.

Whether you're staying for a weekend or a week, having that extra space makes a huge difference.

A Location That Lets You Explore on Foot

One of Star Suites' biggest advantages is its location.

Within minutes we were walking to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, exploring the surrounding shopping centres, restaurants and cafés without constantly relying on taxis or public transport.

Being so central meant we could explore at our own pace before returning to the apartment whenever we needed a break.

A Rooftop Worth Spending Time At

The rooftop facilities quickly became one of my favourite parts of the stay. For me, it also became an unexpected workspace.

With panoramic views across Kuala Lumpur, I found myself taking business calls, catching up on work and enjoying a coffee between family adventures. It was one of those rare places that allows you to be productive without feeling like you're working.

As a travelling family running businesses while exploring the world, those spaces are incredibly valuable.

The family pool was perfect for cooling off after sightseeing, with enough space for everyone to enjoy without feeling crowded.

Who We'd Recommend It To

Star Suites is ideal for travellers looking for more than just somewhere to sleep.

Families will appreciate the generous apartments and practical facilities.

Couples will love the incredible skyline views.

Digital nomads and remote workers will enjoy having space to work alongside excellent communal facilities.

And anyone wanting to experience Kuala Lumpur from a central location will find it difficult to beat.

Final Thoughts

Some accommodation simply provides a bed for the night.

Star Suites gave us somewhere that genuinely felt like home while still delivering one of the best city views we've experienced.
